1. Personal, Social & Emotional Development

Developing independence in self-care (toilet, dressing, eating).

2. Physical Development

Gross Motor Skills
Running, hopping, skipping, jumping.
Balancing on one foot, walking on a line.

Outdoor games and simple yoga/exercises.
Fine Motor Skills
Holding pencil/crayon with proper grip.
Tracing standing, sleeping, and slanting lines.
Drawing simple shapes and objects.
Clay modeling, tearing-pasting, threading, lacing cards.
Using scissors safely for paper cutting activities.
3. Language & Literacy Development

Listening attentively to longer stories and retelling them.
Learning and reciting rhymes with clear pronunciation.
Identifying and naming objects in pictures.
Vocabulary expansion through theme-based discussions.
Speaking in full sentences (who, what, where questions).
4. Reading & Writing Readiness

Recognition of capital and small letters (A-Z, a-z).
Phonics: letter sounds and beginning sounds of words.
Matching letters with pictures.
Writing practice: standing, sleeping, slanting lines, curves → letters.
Introduction to 2-3 phonetic words (cat, dog, sun).
5. Numeracy Development

Oral counting (1-50).
Number recognition (1-20).
Writing numbers (1-10).
Concept of zero.
Shapes: circle, square, rectangle, triangle, oval, star, heart.
Colors: primary + secondary colors.
Comparisons: big/small, more/less, tall/short, heavy/light.
Pre-math concepts: before/after, near/far, inside/outside, up/down.
Introduction to basic patterns and sequencing.
6. Environmental Awareness (EVS)

Myself: name, family, body parts, senses.
My home and school.
Animals (pet, wild, farm, water animals).
Birds, insects, transport, community helpers.
Fruits, vegetables, flowers, seasons, weather.
Nature walks and outdoor exploration.
7. Creative & Aesthetic Development

Drawing and coloring objects.
Craft work: folding, pasting, collage, thumb painting.
Music, dance, and action songs.
Free play in doll corner, kitchen corner, market set-up.
Role play and dramatization.
8. Life Skills

Good manners and polite words.
Healthy eating habits.
Safety rules (road, school, home).
Caring for belongings and the environment.
Basic discipline and responsibility.

Methodology: Play-way, theme-based, activity-centered, phonics-based literacy, experiential learning.

Focus: Building strong pre-reading, pre-writing, and pre-math skills along with social, emotional, and physical readiness for UKG.

This level bridges preschool with primary school, focusing on strong literacy, numeracy, social, and life skills while keeping learning fun and interactive.
